Privacy Policy

Payanwise is a travel search app. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to information when you use it. It is short because the app does very little with your data.
The summary: there is no account and no sign-up. We do not track you across apps or websites, we run no analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell your data to anyone. Your watched routes and saved trips are stored on your device.
Information stored on your device
When you save a route to your watchlist or save a trip, that information is written to your device's local storage and stays there. It includes the route, the dates, any target price you set, and the price history we have collected for that route. None of it is uploaded to an account, because there are no accounts.
To remove it, delete the item inside the app, or delete the app from your device. That erases it completely. We cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
Information sent to our servers
When you run a search, the app sends the search itself to our backend so it can query travel data sources: the origin, the destination, the dates, and the number of travellers. This is not linked to your name, your email, or any identifier we can trace back to you.
The same happens when the app re-checks a watched price in the background.
Like any web server, ours records standard technical request logs, which include the originating IP address, briefly, for reliability and abuse prevention. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are generated on your device by iOS when a watched price drops below your target. They are not sent from a server and do not require us to know who you are.
When you book
Payanwise does not sell travel and never takes your payment. When you choose to book, we hand you over to the airline, hotel or travel agency's own website or app, and their privacy policy governs everything from that point on. We are paid an affiliate commission by that partner when a booking completes. The link that carries you there includes our partner identifier so the commission can be attributed. It does not carry personal information about you.
Where travel data comes from
Prices and availability are retrieved from third-party travel data providers. We send them your search terms, not your identity. Where we do not have a live rate for something, the app labels the figure ESTIMATE rather than presenting it as a bookable fare.
Tracking and advertising
We do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, because we do not track. There is no advertising identifier collection, no third-party analytics SDK, and no cross-app or cross-site profiling. Sponsored placements inside the app are labelled, are not personalised to you, and never change the ranking of results.
Children
Payanwise is a general-audience travel app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and describe what changed.
